Order I

The theme of marks in a variety of facets returns and dominates the world of design. Nervous lines broken by regular geometries with optical suggestions, the search for a global order through the freedom of the drawing style. The rebellion of the single embodied in the system’s set of rules.

Uncontrolled I

Through a series of wallpapers, the designers explore the theme of uncontrolled, instinctive marks that creates a sequence of random, disorganized brushstrokes. Minimal lines alternate with thicker incomplete brushstrokes, as if they wished to leave something suspended. The contrasting black and white colours reinforce the conceptual nature of the collection.

SHADOW I

The gradient synthesizes the transition from light to shadow a progressive reduction of colour that slowly reduces its intensity until it disappears completely leaving room only for the materiality of the base to emerge. This study on colour and its absence, creates this shade which can be approached vertically and horizontally and can be used like a “tile” of a macro pattern of light and shade.

A background inspired by the lines of a magnetic field, it creates an abstract terrain populated by contrasting elements such as, dancing women, vintage objects or jockeys riding virtual waves. This results in a painting where energy and matter are blended together.
Designer: /Ar O/ Studio

LIGHTHOUSE

The superimposition of two layers creates a pattern that resembles light waves or strokes on the magnetic spectrum. Just like a lighthouse that has been synthesized by playing with the superimposition of different layers, creating a dance of the elements, shapes and colours.

VENTAME I

“To fly is the opposite of traveling: you cross a gap in space, you vanish into the void, you accept not being in a place for a duration that is itself a kind of void in time; then you reappear, in a place and in a moment with no relation to the where and when in which you vanished.” Italo Calvino, 1979, If on a winter’s night a traveler.
